Singer-songwriter, Composer and 'magical' Performer, he is also a fine guitarist and fiddle player. From his home base in Butterstone near Dunkeld in the beautiful Tay Valley in Perthshire Scotland, MacLean tours the world with his unique blend of lyrical, 'roots based' songwriting and instrumental composition. Rita MacNeil's unique blend of music has been entertaining audiences around the world for over three decades. Born and raised in Big Pond, Nova Scotia on the picturesque Cape Breton Island, Rita' success can be evidenced in the gold, platinum and silver albums from Canada, Australia and the U.K. as well as numerous Juno and Canadian Country Music Awards. She holds five honorary doctorates and has hosted her own television program "Rita and Friends". Rita has starred in numerous highly rated television specials during her career which have been broadcast on the BBC in the UK, PBS in the US, and CBC and CTV in Canada. She is the proud recipient of the Order of Canada, released a best selling autobiography titled, "On A Personal Note", and released her 20th recording 'Blue Roses' this year Gordie Sampson may be best known for what he has done for other people - co-written hit songs, produced award-winning albums, backed top Canadian touring and recording artists - but Gordie Sampson is a musical dynamo in his own right.
