Federal: Elected in Carleton-Charlotte in the 1988 general election; defeated in 1993. Elected in New Brunswick Southwest – as the riding was re-named – in 1997, 2000, 2004 and 2006.

Career Background: She worked as a high school teacher, for the church and for several community organizations before joining then-New Brunswick premier Frank McKenna's government members office as a researcher. She owned and operated a custom golf business for seven years.
Community Activities: Has been the executive director of the Fredericton Boys and Girls Club, the Canadian Mental Health Association - Central New Brunswick (consultant) and the New Brunswick Child Welfare Association (consultant). She has been a board member of New Brunswick Boys and Girls Club, CMHA, NB Community Residences, Parish Council, Chair of Committee for Hospice. She has volunteered at seniors’ homes and at the IWK and soup kitchen in Halifax. She was a church choir director for over 30 years and was recognized for her community involvement by inclusion in the book, Faces of Fredericton.
