Career Background: Worked in both the private sector (industry, engineering and construction) and the federal public service over the last 10 years. In 2003, supervised retrofitting a factory to make it more energy efficient. Serves as a technical policy adviser on fuels, toxic substances and greenhouse gases.

André Chauvette

Party: New Democratic Party of Canada

Career Background: Has worked in crime prevention for the D’Autray regional municipality since 2005. Was director of the emergency shelter for the organization Le bon dieu dans la rue, which helps youth living on the street, for five years.

Community Activities: Has volunteered in caring for HIV-positive persons, at the Mandeville library and as a representative of transit users on the consultative committee on transport in D’Autray.
