Career Background: Held various positions at UFC from 1978 to 1986. Served as legal officer in arbitration and grievances for the CUPW, Quebec Region, from 1989 to 1996. In 1989, he served as technical adviser to the postal union. Since 1998, he has been working for the Federation of Workers of Quebec in Quebec City and Chaudière-Appalaches, first serving as vice-chairman and then as president. He is also currently a guest lecturer in industrial relations at Laval University.
Community Activities: Coached hockey and minor baseball in Charlesboug and Quebec. Served as president of the minor hockey program of Charlesbourg in 1997. Also served on the board of the Corporation de développement économique communautaire de Québec (Community Economic Development Corp. of Quebec).
