Education: Earned a BA from the University of Ottawa, and a bachelor's degree in psychology and MBA from Laval University.

Career Background: Starting in 1976, he worked for the provincial government for two years. He then worked as a research assistant for Laval University until 1984. In 1987, he served as a counsellor for Mouvement Desjaradins, a Canadian financial company, until 1995. Since then, he has worked as a financial consultant for several other companies.
Community Activities: He currently serves as president of the Table de concertation en environnement de Portneuf, a organization dedicated to preserving environmental values within the Portneuf region. Additionally, he sat on a variety of agricultural and environmental committees, focusing on the MRC de Portneuf, a vast landscape in the municipality. He was also a founding member of Coalition Citoyenne, an association bent on protecting the rights of Quebecers, and served on the board until 2005.
