| Backdoor - A method for bypassing a computer system's normal user name and password protection, sometimes allowing for remote access to the system. Such a security vulnerability could be in the program's code, as a bug or Trojan horse, but it is typically created by a worm or virus. Backdoors can be fixed using a patch.
