ONTARIO TODAY is the first and only news and phone-in program to link radio listeners across the province. Ontario Today gets Ontarians up-to-date on what's happening around the world, across the province, and in their own backyard. The Ontario Today phone-in gives you a chance to share your opinions and questions on current topics, every weekday between 1 and 2 p.m.

Next on Ontario Today

Our criminal justice system is built on the presumption of innocence.. That means you're innocent until a judge or a jury of your peers finds you guilty.. But often the names of people accused of a crime are made public long before the trial.. It may not matter so much in petty crimes, but when the charge is child pornography or sexual assault, the results can be devastating.. For one Ontario man, the public naming and shaming was too much to bear and he committed suicide, even though the charges against him were dropped.. On the next Ontario Today phone-in, we're asking "If we're presumed innocent until proven guilty, why do we name names before a conviction?".. Our guest is Dianne Martin, a professor at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto.
