"Thanks for making Islanders responsible for government mistakes. Hundreds will pay the price of their jobs for lack of fiscal responsibility of this government.

Blame it on the Feds, blame it on not charging enough taxes on fuel, but for heavens sakes don't blame yourselves."

- Joel Brennan

"I am always amazed at how Mr. Murphy keeps blaming Ottawa for all the problems - the state - our province is in.

I dont think it was Ottawa that got us in to the Polar Foods deal, or Ottawa that made all the promises that Mr. Binns made [during] the election campaign. Or all the money they blew on golf courses in the past years.

Mr. Murphy, at least take responsibility. Your goverment dug us this hole we are in, stop passing the buck."

- Wade Mason

"Cuts to sport funding in a province already deemed to be the fattest in Canada, well I wonder what ramifications fatter, even more unhealthier people will do to our over burdened, now more so, health care of P.E.I.

The province subsidizes ambulance service to other provinces, health care to other provinces, giving them money, our money, and yet they cut the health care system even more ... go figure."

- Kim Delong, Charlottetown P.E.I.

" Why didnt you cut the size of your own government? We could do with a few less MLA's...or most of you for that matter. You should be ashamed of yourselves."

- Deborah, P.E.I.

"So, we're going to have to pay even higher gasoline prices - they say we're lower than other provinces - well guess what, I bet our salaries are less too!!!
Guess it'll soon be time to get back to the horse and buggy days..."

- Tammy, P.E.I.
