- Nissan Recall
Nissan is recalling six of its vehicle models, most of them sold in the United States. The models include the Titan, Armada, Frontier, Pathfinder, Quest, and Xterra. One Infiniti model is also included: the QX56. If you have worries or questions about the recall, Nissan recommends contacting a dealer or calling the company's hotline (800-647-7261 for Nissan; 800-662-6200 for Infiniti).
- GM Recall Information
The Detroit-based automotive giant recalled 1.3 million compact cars sold in North America over the past five years due to problems with power-steering functions. The recall covers Chevrolet Cobalts sold between 2005 and 2010 and 2007-2010 Pontiac G5s sold in the U.S., as well as 2005-2006 Pontiac Pursuits sold in Canada and 2005-2006 Pontiac G4s sold in Mexico. The power-steering assist in those models can sometimes fail, GM said, adding that the cars are safe to drive.
- Battery Charger Recall
Canadian Tire is recalling the Mastercraft three hour battery charger, sold with the Mastercraft 18V Cordless Drill kits and combo kits. The model number for the charger is 54-2973.
The company warns the drill charger may overheat, posing a safety concern. The kits were sold at Canadian Tire stores from 2000 to 2009. Customers should contact Techtronic Industries for details on how to order a replacement charger at no cost. They can be reached at 1-800-597-9624.
