Our Host Matt Galloway

Matt Galloway has been working at CBC Radio for almost 10 years.

He has hosted the CBC Radio programs The Current, Sounds Like Canada, Metro Morning, The Arts Today, Global Village, Music and Company, Q and many others. He also anchored CBC Radio's coverage of the 2007 FIFA Under 20 World Cup of Soccer.

Matt has woken up at 4 a.m. to host CBC National Radio Sports, covered international soccer and cricket tournaments, created documentaries for DNTO and played eye-poppingly great records from around the world on shows like The Current, Sounds Like Canada and GO.

In 2008, he hosted CBC Radio’s coverage of the Summer Olympics live from Beijing, mixing breaking sports results with interviews and insightful looks into the changing face of contemporary Chinese culture.

Since 2004, he has been the host of Here and Now, the daily drive-home program on CBC Radio One 99.1 FM in Toronto, ranging from interviews with mayors, Premiers and other newsmakers of the day to coverage of the city's thriving arts, sports, culture and food scenes.

Matt lives in Toronto with his partner and their two daughters.
