Hacker - Anyone who has developed an expertise with programming language. Often used to refer to someone who can gain access to computers or networks that have been secured to some extent. "White hat" hackers seek out security vulnerabilities in order to fix them and are sometimes employed to detect such weaknesses in company networks. "Black hat" hackers, also called crackers, use their expertise to illegally gain access to computers or networks for the purpose of attacks, identity theft or simply for the challenge.
