It's been a year and a half or so since the popular Halifax alt-country group The Guthries decided to call it quits, but the members of that group have not been idle…Last year Matt Mays released his first solo project City Of Lakes which has garnered critical acclaim across the country… Dale Murray is busy with the his band and also playing and touring with many other acts including Buck 65, and last year also saw the debut release from Ruth Minnikin sister of Gabe… So now it's time for Gabe Minnikin to enter the spotlight with his first recording Hard Feelings.

A feature on fiddler Laura Watson and her debut recording Fiddles All Around Me. Laura Watson has been playing the fiddle since she was 5 1/2 years old... She has performed all over Nova Scotia from the Halifax Farmer's Market to Broad Cove on Cape Breton Island... Her fiddle teacher, Gordon Stobbe, says of her talent, "Laura is the kind of player who just needed to learn the basics... She has a natural ability to pick-up the different styles of fiddle playing by just listening"... Oh, by the way, Laura Watson is only 11 years old.
